New covenants strengthen Airborne March

Preparations for the Airborne March 2025 are in full swing and several collaborations were recently officially ratified. On Thursday 15 April, Witte Kruis and the organisers of the Airborne March signed a new three-year covenant. This agreement further strengthens the commitment to the medical support of the world's largest one-day commemorative march, an important step towards even better preparations for 6 September 2025.

The cooperation between the Municipality of Renkum and Police Sports Association “Renkum” (PSVR) has also been extended, this time until 2026. On Wednesday 14 May, mayor Agnes Schaap and PSVR chairman Hans van Kranenburg signed the covenant. This underlines both parties' continued commitment to this special event. During the same occasion, the licence for the 2025 edition was also officially granted.

Since 1947, PSVR has organised the Airborne March in memory of the Battle of Arnhem. The Municipality of Renkum supports this annual tribute with manpower and materials. PSVR chairman Hans van Kranenburg: "The board is very pleased with this support from the municipality of Renkum. It enables us to look forward to the coming editions with confidence." Mayor Agnes Schaap added: ‘Because of the historical connection with the Walk and the importance we attach to its continued existence.’ For her, this was one of the last official acts as mayor.
