On Monday evening 7 July, the Airborne Arch of Honour was traditionally placed in Oosterbeek. A moment when the commemorative feeling immediately comes alive in the village. The evening began with a speech by the March leader and Mayor Marcel Fränzel, who was the first to receive the shirt of the 78th Airborne March, designed by Austria Sport. 

The horizontal beam of the new arch, designed by Bordbusters, was installed in the end of 2024. Last night, the vertical elements were added, completing the arch again. The sides are lined with pictures of De Naald. At night, the arch is attractively illuminated, a recognisable marker in Oosterbeek.
